Hi all, Do any of you know where to get the light blue energy saver foam, sometimes used for lining boxes when making your own fish shipping box. I've been looking all around for this material and can't find it anywhere,I like it becouse it cuts well and doesn't crumble like the white stuff.

I use this stuff all the time. Lowes anf Home depot have it. It is blue at Lowes and pink at HD, but it is the same thing. Works great. I use the 1/2", but I have also seen the 3/4"(?) used. It seems to be overkill and takes up a lot of shipping space.

Mmmm> Yea.... thanks for the replies, They used to have it at the Home Depot but don't cary it any more where I live hear in this neck, only the crumbly white stuff.I'll have to keep looking and try to find a Lowes or a Menards. I've heard of them but never been inside one,as it seems H.D.s' have forced out all the competition in my area.I'll drive 50 mi. if I have to.

I live in northern CA bullhead.I checked all the home improvement stores in my area and all the Lowes on line in CA and your assumption may be correct concerning the for mentioned Dow Chemical product, apparently they don't carry it in this state or the next or the next, it starts showing up around Oklahoma eastward. So now we all know why I couldn't find it anywhere. Those darn environmental laws they just get ya sometimes.I wonder why HD does not have it, ours does. Maybe California has some sort of environmental law (extruded polystyrene does give off some fumes when cut). Are you in Southern CA? Maybe there is no demand for it in warm areas.
