After keeping South and Central American cichlids for years, I've decided to try some natives. I grew up in New Jersey and used to catch pumpkinseeds all the time when I was growing up. I loved their coloration and they started my interest in the aquarium hobby. I thought I'd try a few young fish in a 55 gallon. I'm enjoying this site and I've already learned quite a bit about feeding and care in captivity in your forum.
