Hi all,

The forum has been down since it ran out of memory. We are working with the hosting provider to do an upgrade to a higher capacity server.
There might be some downtime during the upgrade.

Server has been upgraded. Hopefully, we'll have enough capacity for a few more months

Is this going to be a recurring problem? I don't fully understand the technicalities, but it doesn't seem financially possible to keep bumping up our server if this happens often.

Yes, we need to think about an alternative host for the gallery. It is huge, and is what is taking up so much of our space.

I'm not sure how recurring this problem will be ... as Matt says, we could move the Gallery Archive to another server.

I'd prefer to keep an eye on the system for a few weeks and see how its used before thinking of a solution.

The difference I see between yesterday and today is that Google was indexing the site and slowed things down considerably. Are things better today?

Have there been any issues with speed, images (server performance) in the past couple of weeks?

Did our changing the image processing software eliminate the "hangs" that were seen earlier? Any new issues with new image uploads?
