..... I had no idea that you had 5 or 6 sculpin species in Oregon. Pretty darn cool.
We actually have 15 native freshwater sculpins, and a lot more native saltwater sculpins

- Coastrange sculpin, Cottus aleuticus
- Columbia sculpin, Cottus hubbsi
- Prickly sculpin, Cottus asper
- Mottled sculpin, Cottus bairdi
- Paiute sculpin, Cottus beldingi
- Shorthead sculpin, Cottus confusus
- Riffle sculpin, Cottus gulosus
- Marbled sculpin, Cottus klamathensis
- Margined sculpin, Cottus marginatus
- Reticulate sculpin, Cottus perplexus
- Pit sculpin, Cottus pitensis
- Klamath Lake sculpin, Cottus princeps
- Torrent sculpin, Cottus rhotheus
- Slender sculpin, Cottus tenius
- Pacific staghorn sculpin, Leptocottus armatus
First one is just natives, and from ODFW

This one is a wiki entry and includes all the introduced species as well

and...
Bryce... your Latin is unique and most proper in this situation.
Oddy your post was not visible when i recalled the common name for Appalachian Sculpins. Maybe the forum masters are keeping an eye on Mr. Smarty Pants.
