I have just gotten back into keeping native fish. I joined NANFA in the early days in the 70's when I lived and kept multiple tanks in Florida then Louisiana. Florida was a hard act to follow so after moving to Virginia and keeping a tank for awhile I stopped. I rejoined NANFA a few years ago and have just recently set up two new tanks. One is darters, madtoms and hogsuckers from the North Fork of the Rivanna River which is one boarder of my property. The other has dace and shiners from Difficult Run near Great Falls, Virginia outside Washington, DC. I have also had several ponds for a number of years, one a formal Koi pond. It's great to be involved again, MG

Welcome MG, we are glad to have you here. Sounds like you know a bit about NANFA and about native fish (well maybe more than a bit, maybe a bunch) so I wont waste time with a lot of introductions. But do cruise around here and read up on some of the things that are going on. And maybe even cruise over to the main NANFA website and think about re-joining us!

Welcome, glad to see another Virginian aboard! Until last year I lived in Fredericksburg, so I know the surrounding waters fairly well, and have spent quite a few summer days snorkeling and seining in the Rivanna at Shadwell. Lots of Roanoke darters! If there is anything I can help you with, don't hesitate to ask!
