Probably a sucker, and based on the speckled pattern I'm gonna guess white sucker, Catostomus commersoni.

actually, I just realized, that if you are good with rotating things in your head... it looks pretty much like my avatar... striped (or brassy) jumprock.
I mean, I see the slight saddle/yoke and two blotches of color on the side... whatcha got for jumprocks or suckers in that drainage?

Im new to the area and it was my first time visiting the river. Some kind of sucker never crossed my mind. Im terrible at IDs, I was thinking of a perch, lol. The fish wasnt getting spooked so I took the pic and desided to share. thanks

Could it be a juvenile White sucker? I think that looks like the most likely candidate, Or as Michael Wolfe mentioned. Here is an attached photo of a Juvenile white sucker taken by Steven A. Ellis, Kennesaw, Georgia which was found on this website
