Only a couple of the fish I caught were hook & line, but I'll post in the microfishing section anyway. Hope you enjoy! The pirate perch throat photo turned out especially well. The full report is here:

Nah, he was netted. The only hook & line catches were the blackside darter, red shiners, and sand shiners.

Nice find regarding the Ironcolors!

I've raked that creek up and down over the years.
I'm surprised you didn't pick up any Grass Pickerel.

Interesting coloration on that Banded. Did you find any females looking overly gravid?
I caught a whole slew of them in the Mackinaw drainage last November that had me wondering if they weren't indeed spawning.
Not often in these parts do I see Bandeds in what I feel is their absolute highest coloration. November has had me confused 8)

Thanks Lance! I didn't notice any particularly plump females. The brightly colored males surprised me as well. I also didn't realize they get that large! The ones I've seen in Sandy Creek up by Henry have all been pretty small.
