Does anyone have any experience with NMDA receptors in cyprinid brains? We've been working with scarlet shiner brains, trying to quantify differences between and within sexes with NMDA receptors using western blots to visualize differences. In principle reproductive females should have the highest concentration of these brain receptors while males have a steady relatively high level.
