Dustin is of course correct... that particular one came from the Etowah River in North Georgia, so I have no idea which silly politician the thing got named after or if it is still a Speckled Darter... but I do know exactly what bridge we were standing under on the day we seined him up! And y'all know that is my first rule of fish identification (know where your feet are).
