I was asked to check around and see if anyone has or knows of anyone who has gotten any of the sand darters or crystal darter for that matter to spawn. Marc Kibbey at OSU is making an attempt at this with the eastern sand darter and would like any info we can offer. Also could some one who understands the e-mail list ask on there too and either get back to me or if you know Marc send info directly to him. Thanks guys for any help anyone can offer.

Hello smbass,
This paper has a description:

Johnston, C. E. 1989. Spawning in the eastern sand darter, Ammocrypta pellucida (Pisces: Percidae), with comments on the phylogeny of Ammocrypta and related taxa. Transactions of the Illinois Academy of Science 82:163-168.

Best-Tom
