no. If it does, they are unhappy and like it as little as you do. If you neglect to fix the smell, their numbers drop off in the near future.

Out of curiosity, but can white worms be kept in the same way as grindal worms? And on an unrelated note, do microworm cultures smell?

A healthy microworm culture smells (wonderfully IMO) like bread dough....very yeasty. But only in the confines of the culture container itself. If the bread smell thing isn't your cup of tea, don't worry. The scent doesn't stray.
When the culture is passing its prime, it begins to smell like old beer. That smell is a little more off-putting, but not necessarily offensive. If you've spent any time in college, it'll bring back memories.
