This is what can make our system of aquatic refugia vulnerable to extreme weather patterns. California is already a mess but such an event is likely to hammer remaining vulnerable populations. Such can happen elsewhere given more time. How will populations be refounded once event passes? No natural connectivity.

I knew it was bad, but not 12% bad. Going to be more stress up and down the food chain before this is all over. Thanks for posting.
