Thought some of you would enjoy this. Some of my 2013 footage from Appalachia of the incredible fish diversity that exists there. Let me know what you think. Thanks.

Very nice video. I enjoy the footage of the Brooks. Very flightly whenever I try to record them although it appears you set up your camera and let it run until they come back? How many hours of footage to make the 10 minute video?.....I could have watched any one scene for hours.

I never bring a camera into the water initially for that reason. I lay in the area and let the fish get comfortable around me. All fish are different, but a camo wetsuit helps in my opinion. I have over 30 hours of footage still in folders so I could offer that to ya for entertainment! Haha.

Eric...
That is very nice, well done. Beautiful. You have come to a good group of those that appreciate what is in the water. Many of us snorkel and spend time on adventures finding clear water and all eager for a spawning spring in just a few short months. There is so much to see, new behaviors and mass spawnings, many things never captured on film before. Being at the right place at the right time in the right conditions is always a challenge but the awards are immense.
Thanks for sharing, join NANFA, meet some of the folks and attend the NC convention this June near Linville Falls, lots of cool, watery critters to see right in Linville River directly in front of our convention facility.
Casper
Camo eh? Most of us dress up like a spawning Tennessee Shiner around here.

Glad you enjoyed it Casper. You hit the nail on the head with right place, right time, right conditions. Took a lot of time to get all of this, but boy every second was worth it. Can't wait to get back in a wetsuit!

Sent you a message...

I guess if you lay in the water as much as BlueBlood the wetsuit becomes camo-ed with algae, like a snapping turtle. Awesome video, although it would not play smoothly for me -- it kept freezing every few seconds. Will try it again later, or on a different computer.

... but a camo wetsuit helps in my opinion. I have over 30 hours of footage still in folders so I could offer that to ya for entertainment! Haha.

Thank you all. I do a lot of traveling and am looking for new places to film. If you have a spot and don't mind sharing, I'd love to see some new fishy waters. Plus you get to see my cool camo wetsuit.
