When will it be possible to link to the more recent articles in American Currents?

I'm not sure that there is anything that is preventing us from changing this listing (adding, deleting, whatever). Really we just need to decide what we want to add. And get approval from the author to post their work.

What we really need if we want to update this, is a person who wants to actively work on an manage the page.

If there is something specific that you want/need, let me know and I can probably help you out.

Articles about bantam and warmouth sunrises. I give permission for former and will try to arrange for latter with headmaster.

Can you help me with specific article titles or issue numbers or something? Depending on how recent or far back they are I might could get this done myself (after the appropriate permissions of course). I have all of the AC on CD up to pretty recently... so I can pull form there as far as the pdfs... and uploading and creating the links is not too hard either.

First was published 2007 Winter

Wetzel, James E.
Spawning and Raising the Bantam Sunfish, Lepomis symmetricus
Detailed laboratory spawning study.

Second was in 2010-2011 window.

Hirsch, Luke P.
Deals with breeding warmouth.

These papers have proven handy as teaching tools but I think it would be better if readers see them in context of publication rather than as simply hardcopies or pdf's. Pictures for comparative uses help make sense of drier perspectives provided by aquaculture journals.

OK, I probably have those in my AC-CD collection. I will look them up and get them on the web within the next few days (weekend at the latest). I don't know Luke Hirsch, but if you could get him to drop me an email (allowing us to post the article), that would be great.

I think I have it done for you... click the same link that you provided, and cursor down to "Sunfishes" and your articles are now the top two (if your machines saved the page in cache, you may have to 'refresh' by hitting F5 on your keyboard).

Both articles are presented as they were in American Currents... The Bantam Sunfish article was ways only text with line drawings. The Warmouth article is shown as a color version of the original article (with all associated photos).

Let me know if there is anything else we need to do.

That's great to hear. You know I almost suggested that these be put in the 'Fish in Focus' section as they get pretty close to being a life history sort of overview as well as your specific spawning observations. But since they were already published and formatted and everything, and of course it was what you asked, it was easy to just get them up for better access. I have not done much work on that part of the website and I guess it shows a bit. There are probably a lot of other articles in the past few years that would do well to be uploaded here for all to see/use.

Yes, several articles could be included. Resolution in links very much short of actual publication. Sex-linked color pattern of male warmouth very hard to discern.
