There are already a few posts, but Mikel Wolfe has one (Herogreen), there's Day5FishTanks, and NativeFishKeepers off the top of my head. Also, not natkve based, but good info for any fishkeeper can be found from UaruJoey and GregJonesOnline.
Im not familiar with Herogreen and Day5FishTanks, but i am with the rest, UaruJoey helped me save a ton of money!

Hero likes the hidef capabilities of Vimeo. Youtube smashes your work pretty hard to force fit it into their system.
one of the reason, youtube reduces video quality is because they use mp4 format, if you export a video in mp4 format you should get any problems, i had the same issue as well

The problem is that mp4 is not a true hi-def 1080 format for video shot in hi-def is not going to look as good compressed to mp4
