Hi I'm new to this forum and was looking for some suggestions on stocking my 10 gallon tank. It's already been cycled and I've added some live plants. I'm from Oklahoma and was looking for some native fish that would live happily in a 10 gallon. I was thinking about some type of minnow or other small fish like a darter. Thanks for your help!

Welcome to the forum. I don't know all my Oklahoma fish that well (maybe our Oklahoma Regional Rep will speak up here) but my mind immediately goes to maybe a topminnow species. According to this listing online, it looks like y'all have Fundulus olivaceus the blackspotted topminnow which I think would make a great first fish in a small tank. Or maybe even a more colorful option would be the western starhead topminnow Fundulus blairae. Topminnows are fun to catch with a dipnet and except for the northern studfish, I think all the others on your state list stay small and would work in a 10 gallon tank.
