Okay dudes, I'm callin' on tomorrow. Blanchard is flooded. Already talked to Pollick (in fact he brought it up) this will be better anyway because hopefully we can get Ed and Matt out at least, and maybe Carl can make it up too.

Let me see what Steve's schedule is and then we can look to do a resched? How does that sound?

Next weekend (March 31 - April 1) would be good for me, as would the following weekend. Uland (feel free to chime in) tells me he may be able to make it if it is next weekend, but not the following. Do you think your truck will be fixed by then, Matt? What about you, Carl? Others?

100% next weekend. Truck will be finished.

Next weekend seems as good as any. I'll keep my fingers crossed about no rain till then and warm weather.

I can only do Sundays the next couple weeks. You guys are more than welcome to crash here, regardless, but I need to get my finances caught back up and this was the only weekend in March I was able to schedule off. So I need to work the next couple weekends as much as possible, and may even work all weekend next (Sunday too) to make up for any time I could loose on the Sat before Easter.

So the weekend after Easter will be the first I'll have a chance to take time off. (my checks will have caught up)

I haven't talked to the Outdoor writer yet either. It would be great to know you guys schedules when I talk to him, as it will make the story more interesting that people are driving in from all over to see minnows in the Maumee. But if that doesn't work out, no biggie.

The fish will be in full nuptuial color by then as well.

So if we can look to the 14th - 15th or 21st - 22nd, that would be great. I'm hoping this is in advance enough of his schedule.

And if those weekends don't work for y'all, no biggie. Again, you're more than welcome to crash here, I'll try and get out with you on the 1st, but no promises.

Todd

As with Todd I only can manage this current one and only because I'm throwing a day away from my research (on my off day) to go out and get away. It is too hard to get away right now as march / April marks the start of the season and I have too much going on. Sucks though as I really enjoy sampling with Uland and Matt...These two... In an anachronistic term...ROCK  and I always like to be in a sampling session with them.

I unfortunately won't be in BG, I'll be in Canton with my family, The next two weekends. I'm with Todd as far as the next dates that would work both of those look fine at this point, the 14th - 15th or 21st - 22nd of April.

Getting paid once a month, I'm usually tapped out by the end of the month. The earlier in the month, the better for me, to assure I have travel funds (gas, Turnpike fare, etc.). However, April 14 is opening day of trout season here, and my daughter wants to be at our local stream (Turtle Creek) first thing in the morning that day. I promised her we would be there, so there is no way I'm traveling that weekend. It's going to have to be the 21st - 22nd if I'm to make it, and I can only say I'll do my best to set aside money for travel that late in the month. Hopefully there will be no unexpected expenses like there were this month. Once my wife finishes nursing school in May, I won't have this problem, but for now, late in each month will be tight.

How about the first weekend in May? That would be much better for me economically. We've got Easter coming up, then opening day of trout season, and then it will be late in the month. I'm already close to tapped out. My wife finishes nursing school in early May, and our financial picture starts looking much more rosy, but April is going to be the worst month. How about May 5-6? Hopefully we'll have better weather, too.

How about the first weekend in May?

I will be swimmin' with the bluefin killies and pygmy sunfishes. I'm not even sure if I'm going to be able to get out with the Writer until I get back.

When will you be back? Or do you want to leave it open for a few weeks, and figure it out later in the month?

I should really keep my mouth shut but that's never stopped me in the past....These trips should be set well in advance (3 weeks) and who responds can make it, otherwise these trips never get off the ground.

Don't get me wrong, quick throw together trips can be great but a few weeks can do miracles for schedules.

I mentioned this awhile back, but it probably fell off the radar. On May 12th, I have a Meet Your Stream program at Side Cut Metropark (on the Maumee) with the Toledo Naturalists Association. This will be paired with what they call "Get the Lead Out" in the morning, where they're doing line and lure, trash pickup. There will still be plenty of fisherman around as well. I could really use help with this program to do seining demonstrations and collect fish for display.

The program is at 3:00. I had planned to get other species that weren't found in that stretch of river. So this might work beautifully. We could hit the Blanchard sites in the morning, head back for the program, work the mainstem or actually Rod n Reel fish the evening (white bass are in thick right then with lots of other species, walleye still). Then do whatever on Sunday.

Thoughts?

I like this idea. A little collecting, a little conservation, and a little PR. Will your newspaper reporter be on board? As far as I know right now, I should be able to make it. So count me in.

Thats right about when I'm moving Todd but I likely could be around part of the time or help catch some other species before hand.

I could help in the morning, and I just might be off work that afternoon.

We're working on it with the reporter. He's not sure of his schedule yet, but we've given him a bunch of time to work with.

Sounds good Brian and Nate.

And I'd be glad to put up anyone who comes in from out of town, so no one needs to worry about a hotel or anything like that.

I notice the convention is not on there.
