I check out any time I like, but I never leave.

Well, almost never, lately. Many times the last couple weeks I have signed out, only to come back to the forum much later and still be signed in...

I use multiple computers to log in... home, work, phone, etc. Is it possible that you are logged in on multiple devices and it is just picking you up?

I speak 'computer' about as well as I can pronounce Latin names, but could it have anything to do with your cookies? I constantly clear my history/cookies and find that when I log out, I am still logged out next time I return.

But I tell ya, this whole artificial intelligence thing is getting out of hand. How does the computer know that you really DIDN'T want to sign out of the forum and miss reading about the next topic to get locked?!?!

Probably is a cookie/cache deal. Highly unlikely it would have you signed in on one device just because you signed in on the other. For me it's actually been the opposite. I sign in on the iPad, I get signed off on computer and vice versa. This doesn't happen all the time, just randomly.

Where I have my cookies stashed has bearing on my 'puter? What does it care where I hoard my Nutter Butters, Vienna Fingers, and Oreos? And ain't nothing it can do to get me to give up my homemade chocolate chip tollhouses. This 'lectric beast and I are gonna tussle, me fears.
