Hello to all from SE Michigan. Had been to the NANFA site before but not to the Forums. I have been keeping/raising/breeding fish on and off since I was a teenager, and that was a LONG time ago. Have not been active in the past couple of years or so due to personal health problems. Primarily have kept and bred Bettas, Pearl Gouramis, Aquidens Curviceps, some of the African Cichlids including some of the Shell Dwellers, as well as the typical livebearers. I did also work with Polka Dot Goodeids and Red Tail Goodeids for awhile. At one point I had about 40-50 tanks in a corner of the basement. I don't recall who off hand, but I believe I did get valuable help from someone associated with this site, when working with the Goodeids. At the last point I was working with fish, I set up a tank and did have some fish I collected in the Huron River in Ann Arbor (very tiny when collected, but grew VERY fast) along with some plants from the river. Well anyway, I am hoping to get back into fish, and plan on working just with native fish, from US and possibly Mexico. I need to start in a slow way, as I used to drive my wife crazy, between time spent in the fishroom, at shows, conventions and fish auctions, not to mention time raising or collecting live foods for my wonderful fish. So sorry to have rambled on, but thought a little background info was in order. Oh yea, also had a 50 gallon with frogs, salamanders, and tadpoles. Another tank with Green Anoles which actually laid eggs although I never did get a hatch. From what I have been reading on the forums, it is absolutely great and has tremendous info. Thanks for a great site and forum, Ted
