It sure does not look like P. promelas. But, junk hand photos are junk. Quit it Josh, you are old enough to know better!

I got a reply from one of two posts to fish and game (the "what is it" post, the other post was to report a potential invasive).
They gave the sort of unsure and indeterminate answer everyone else did.
this is what they said.
"NH Fish and Game We circulated your photo among the fisheries biologist here but could not come up with a definitive species other than being a member of the Cyprinid family of minnows. It is very difficult to ID small minnows from a photo only."
Seems professional fish experts are as stumped as everyone else is. now to wait on the reply for the report of a potential invasive.
