Hello everyone, I haven't seen this done before, so I decided to give it a try, but I have made an external air lift with an extra hole I had drilled in one of my tanks. Air lifts are a very efficient way, both energy and cost wise, to transport small amounts of water shorter distances. Now, depending on pipe diameter, air flow, and distance to travel, the amount of water that can be transported changes. I am personally planning on using this to power a small aquaponics system above my 33 gallon long stream tank. This system, to some, may not be a huge difference as the old system of a pipe exposed in a tank, but to those who prefer hiding their equipment, I hope this allows the latter group to now take advantage of these awesome forms of water movement. Anyways, I hope you all like this form of air lift! Let me know if you try it out! Here's a basic drawing of it, if you have any questions, just ask! Thanks for reading!
