I've been stomping the cricks, kicking roots, and overturning rocks around west central Indiana all summer trying to get my hands (seine) on a tadpole or stonecat madtom with no luck. I emailed Brian at BT Darters and ordered a stonecat from him and let me tell you, this guy and his outfit got it going on. I'm sure some of you are already aware of this but for the new guys and gals on here, I encourage you to check out btdarters.com if you find yourself in a similar situation. Or if you'd just rather buy natives instead of collecting your own. I had a zillion questions and he answered each and every one, and it was a real pleasure to talk all things stonecat with him. It just arrived today, and the packaging was second to none. The fish was double bagged in a styrofoam box and a care sheet and detailed instructions on acclimating it were all included.
