As some of you might know, I've been persueing Walleye in the Maumee River (a tributary to Western Lake Erie). I've caught some nice fish, but this guy caught what seemed like a World Record Walleye out in the lake. Here's a link...at first I thought it was real, but now I think it's a hoax, what do you guys/gals think?

World Record Walleye

The caption makes me doubt the validity...but we'll see.

Nate, you do know it was April Fool's? Especially with the gotcha again at the end of the caption. The way the hand is in front of the anal fin and how the fishes body distorts really makes me think its a fake picture. The whole fish looks like its photoshoped. On a fishing side of things, most of the BIG females are pretty tough to catch when they are spawning now. I think most of the 12#+ fish are caught in the Central and Eastern basins maaaaybe on the edge of the West/Central post spawn.

Besides April Fools, I'm still waiting for the world-record logside perch to be caught.

The guy next to me the other day in the river snagged a adult Logperch with a jig, thought it was kinda funny when he actually thought he had a fish on...and he did, but ya know.

Guys, if you got to this link http://mwolfe.home.mindspring.com/ and click on the link to the video version of the seinerama II, you will see that I already have the world record for several fish (and one invertebrate) in the last few seconds of the video.

I have a question on that sunfish on the lower left corner of your web page. That small sunfish is that a young redbreast? I have been catching some small sunfish that resemble young bantams but with slight reddish finnage and almost no gill color and I know what a young blue gill looks like LOL. I have since determined and I at least think they are young redbreast. Could you tell me what this fish is? By the way that lady can really shake here belly. I need to learn to do that and maybe mine would go away.

I assumed that it was a redbreast... if my memory serves, this one and several more like it were taken out of the Tennessee river... isn't that right Casper? We seines a couple of places that were right on the main river, and I think that was the only place that I took photos of juv. sunfish. I don't beleive that any of these were retained for further analysis though.

And, I don't know what lady your talking about, I only look at the fish videos on the internet...

Well I assume since it is your web page you would know what ladies I was talking about. Belly dancers. I do not know why they are on their and do not care I just thougth it was super funny. She was shaking her belly about 50mph. I think If I did that I would hurt my already broken back.
