As an exercise in seasonal torture, I usually end up using the cold months to process all my photos and videos from the previous warm season. This one has me really dying for warm weather again. Fieryblack Shiner males battling at one of our Catawba collections sites at the NC convention. I hope you enjoy, and may this inspire some of you non-snorkelers to try it. It's an incredibly immersive (seriously!) way to truly experience the world of our streams, and observe the amazing things that lie beneath.

Kazonak, this was taken during on of our stops at last year's NC convention. The creek was Henry Fork, and I believe it was just a short drive south of Morganton.
