Good afternoon, We now have an announcement officially posted for short-term contractual (35-40 week duration) Natural Resource Technicians. Multiple positions will likely be filled from this announcement. For one position, we are looking for someone that has mussel experience to assist with a large relocation monitoring project. They could also be asked to participate in a pilot hatchery propagation project and relocation suitability study. Other main duties would include conducting wadeable stream assessments of macroinvertebrate and fish communities, geomorphic surveys, and associated office duties (i.e., data entry, summarization).
Interested applicants should follow link below to the announcement and application instructions at the State of Maryland's job openings page. Positions could begin as early as mid- to late-February.
The Seasonal Natural Resources Technician II position has been posted with a closing date of 2 weeks from today (December 16th). Future inquiries should reference the announcement number (14-003093-001). For your convenience I have included the following link: Seasonal Natural Resources Technician II
