This is why Wikipedia is a poor source of info. Anyone can add any kind of information without reference. Essentially false information.

It's not elegant writing, but what exactly is false? OK, so breeding season and trans-branchi-oral egg/sperm delivery could have been explained better, and wild diet vs captive diet could have been separated (wild fish probably don't eat mealworms), ...

I don't know who wrote it. Wikipedia CAN be a good source of info if knowledgeable people who find errors fix them.

Often WIKI has several sentences written with a caption saying "citations needed". I have never tried to alter it so I do not know the protocol. I often use it for a first line reference before I delve deeper. Teachers and professors generally do not want to see wikipedia as a reference on a paper. Over the years, as more people have used it, it seems to have improved.
