These images are of some larger Bluegill with heavy infestations of Anchor Worm. Some secondary health problems also evident. Treatment targets free-swimming lifestage. These fish are currently off feed and loosing weight rapidly. Left untreated, mortalities usually light but growth rates terrible until resolved.

Where do these heavily infested fish come from? Are they newly acquired broodstock?

Old broodstock we raised. They represent generation three of a tank spawned line. Infection occurred indoors. Somehow parasites brought in.
