The rest I am not sure. There a some when under sunlight has a purple tinge to it, are these striped minnows? They just change color so much depending on lighting situation so I can't pinpoint them. I am attaching a few photos to illustrate. Please help me ID these guys to see if there's more than two species.

What drainage were they collected in? That would help a lot.
Its a creek that runs off of Missouri River, in central missouri. Is there a site where I can find my area map with creeks etc?

That should help.
Some of those species look a bit like missisipi silvery minnows. We have a similar species here.

Looks VERY real!oops hey Irate sorry didn't tell you the bamboo is fake. I was gonna use real bamboo till I found out they wont grow leaves underwater so I got some fake ones made by Tetra. Its their line of Tetra Water Wonders Asian Bamboo...I really like they looks real. My cherry shrimp babies love to hang around and hide in the leaves.

Wow I just noticed today that among the minnows I have is a pair of Red Shiners. The male started to color up and I could see the blue triangle behind its gill and the red tail...also the female's belly is big, eggs? Are these guys easy to breed?
Yes.
