Sheepshead Minnows spawning

I visited a saltmarsh pond today, and found it full of mating sheepshead minnows. The water was too shallow for the gopro, but I did shoot some cell phone footage that I thought you guys might enjoy. The action heats up around 3:10. 

 

 

Interestingly, I found it rather difficult to capture the color you see in the video in any photographs:

Very nice. It did look very shallow. But just an idea. You know that you can set the GiOro to shoot video upside down? So you can turn the camera over and put the lens very near the ground. That might have worked (has for me in some cases).

In hindsight that does seem like the obvious answer, thanks for the heads up! These fish had only one thing on their minds, I imagine I could stick that camera right in the middle of them without them noticing.
