They've gotten into my tub and eaten all my fish. I've spotted several fairly large (almost 1") larvae feeding on smaller larvae since that's all thats left. Any way to get rid of them without emptying the tub and replacing all of the plants? If not I'll just throw some Enneacanthus obesus in there since that was the original plan anyways. I imagine they would feed on small larvae and would be big enough to not get eaten.

Rotenone and several water changes. Kind of kidding, but other than starting over or draining it down and capturing them all, I would not know.

Hmm... sounds like I'll just have to go with larger fish and hope for the best. Either Enneacanthus, a pair of mud sunfish, or a warmouth.

Table spoon of vegetable oil.  Old fish farmer trick that works on much larger ponds.

Is that a good amount for 30 gallons?

Overkill.  Watch it work as all insects coming up for air will be impacted.  Gill breathers will not have problems whether insect or not.

Pretty cool. Clogs them up with floating oil.
