I have 2 logperch that are 1in and I'm trying to get them to grow so they can be in my 33 gallon with a ~3in banded sunfish. I have them in a plastic bin under my 33 right now, but I might move them to my 20 gallon. How long do you think it will take for them to grow? Also, how long will it take for saffron darters to grow? I might get those soon.

I think that is going to depend largely on the quantity and quality of their diet, as well as water quality to some extent. I would think you should have  3 inch logperch by the end of the year.

+1 to what Matt D. said. I'd add that I think the quantity of darters is an issue, too. Darters are pretty peaceful fish overall (there are some nasty ones, though, of course) that do well in close company with other darters. But if there are many of them, some will definitely become the big dogs and some will stay runtier pups. As far as I can see, the runties are the ones who are shier/less successful at chow time. Makes sense, huh? When I have big numbers are darters, say more than ten or so, is when I notice the differences the most. When there are only a couple/few, they seem to grow at pretty equal rates for me.
