So I had been keeping longears before for a little while and I stopped for a while to try some other types of fish but I found myself drawn back to my sunfish. So I went ahead and picked up some more for my tank at work. Here's a picture of the big male. I'll be uploading a video to YouTube tomorrow on this tank. Oh, nice! What's the tank like? I'd love colors like that in my boys.

Couldn't resist the natives could ya :). They're way better than angelfish or cichlids anyway, can't wait to see the vid!

I have noticed that most large sunfish seem to be like cichlids in every way possible

- colorful

- territorial

- dig pits to breed and uproot plants for no good reason

- similar body shapes

- intelligent, (my male pumpkinseed comes to the glass when he sees me or my dad, and shuns other people until they feed him)
