Nothing much fish related happened this weekend, I slept too late saturday, and wanted to go sampling to scout more convention locations but was talked into swimming on sunday. But I took a walk down to the brook on 32 on sunday to rake pictures of the trout from the bridge with the new camera I got last christmas.

All these paralell lines are trout. Glare makes one side of the branch mopre visible than the other but it is a big school.

trout seem made to look upward, I can see their eyes clearly from above, which is likely why they get scared when i stand on the bridge.

Are those wild fish Josh? Seems like an awful large population for wild brookies. Usually I see a couple per pool, but this is in relatively infertile high elevation streams.

Wild ones, they gather here summer to fall each year. Been years since any large stocked Brooke's have been put here. Unless someone stocks fingerlings they are wild.

I checked the stocking reports. None added this year but last year 585 1+ year old brook trout were stocked here This brook and town, not sure of location).

Odd, been a long time since I seen the typical 10-12+ inch stocking size trout in this stream. How much do trout grow in a year? These looked very small.
