I found an article on Arctic Charr in Maine. Most of it deals with the threat of invasives and their damage in Maine. (they already ravaged my state), but the thing that amazed me is how Char in each pond seems different. I always heard that New England Char was the Oquassa subspecies with two breeds/varieties/whatever the next classification below subspecies is. The Piscivorous Sunapee and the Invertebrate eating Blue Back. But it seems specializations in diet and even spawning goes beyond that,
