Seems Ben Cantrelle's (who is a NANFA member if I remember right) huge fish lifelist is getting attention lately.

Also Fish Nerds say they want to interview him.

I have actually met him. Like 3 or 4 times. He is nearly 7 feet tall, muscular and quite handsome. Fishing is really no challenge to Ben, he does not have to wade, he simply walks on the water. Fish are not spooked by his presence, in fact they are more afraid of the consequences if they do not cooperate. Ben does not fish, that implies the chance of failure, he catches. Ben calls it a life list. Because the fish that do not jump on his hook do not fare so well. Ben also has several trophy fish on his wall, since they were on his life list, they are not dead, just too afraid to move. Also Ben has the advantage that when he is stopped by a game warden, the game warden has to talk his way out of the situation. USFWS has recently removed several species from their listing. No longer need protection since Ben added them to his life list. They are once again safe.

Really this is great stuff. Ben has one very impressive list of species that he has angled. We are proud of our own Ben Cantrell. Keep going! I am envious, I wish I had the drive to accomplish what you are doing Ben. I am glad that folks have taken notice of your accomplishment, your promotion of microfishing can only lead to more awareness and hopefully more conservation.

Salmon were only found in the ocean until Ben Cantrelle entered the river drawing them all to him.

Least Killifish were once giants. Then Ben caught a small one microfishing and declared it big enough. They never grew larger since then and the big ones shrank.

Mummichogs can survive harsh conditions because Ben once saw a polluted river and said "their should be fish here" and they obliged. Then Ben touched the water cleansing it.

Awesome! Sooner or later someone is going to have to sponsor Ben. A rod company that specializes in Tenkara rods would probably do well by providing him with a rod. Bet they would get some additional sales if Ben were fishing their rods.
