These fish (shiners?) were trapped in Square Lake Minnesota. Are they juvenile spot fun shiners?

Thanks.

With the clouds in the background, I say flying fish for sure.

Hahaha. They are fun shiners! Fat fingers here.

I've caught grown spotfin shiners with these smaller ones before, so I thought they might be the same.

Thanks for all of the help, everyone.

Hey, Evan here, I definitely see some Spotfins in there, and maybe a few Emeralds as well. Cool find. In Square Lake maake sure you keep an eye out for Blackchin and Blacknose Shiners, I can't remember which are there. Same goes for Least Darters. Quite a nice body of water.

Thanks for the ID, Evan. They all look the same to me when they're this small.

These two in the bottom right are blacknose shiners, correct?Attached File  image.jpg   78.19KB   0 downloads

They could be either, a more close-up picture would be useful to be sure.
