I'm finally back! It only took a year of procrastinating, but I got the tank set up. Right now the only inhabitants are three blacknose dace, and I have a thin layer of sand. Where do you guys get your gravel/cobble/substrate? I am going to collect some larger rocks from my area, but it seems like a lot to collect cobble as well. Also, does anyone have experience with cutlips minnows?

Collected my gravel from a small stream called Duck run near my house. Nice mix of sand, small gravel and larger cobble. Really nice color. When you come to get some darters we can get enough to do your tank.

Sweet!  Fantails are a very cool fish.  I can't wait to get a few for my tank.

They both turned a light, but intense orange once in the tank. Here is the male

They turned light because of the substrate and problaby stress. That's just my thinking
