how long does it take to get the shrimp to drop their eggs and what do they need to do so?

Do you mean Glass Shrimp? And are they Freshwater or Saltwater? I found a good web page for you , it's Seahorse.org. this is what I got when I did a live search from MSN www.seahorse.org/library/articles/ghostShrimp.shtml. I hope this is helpfull!

well most lps sale them as ghost shrimp... and yes freshwater

I like to scare them by sneaking up on the tank and then suddenly springing up to the glass and yelling loudly. They drop their eggs right away.
