Hi All,

I just wanted to announce that Conservation Fisheries in Knoxville has a new website, in case anybody wanted to browse. If you have viewed their site recently, you may need to clear your cache before the new site will load. Enjoy!

Noticed that NANFA is not listed as one of your partner.  Just curious as to why we were left off, especially after the grant we gave to CFI last year.

Hi Josh,

Thanks for bringing this to my attention, it was certainly not intentional to leave you guys off, simply lost NANFA in the list as I was adding. I'm adding you guys as we speak!

It looks really nice.  100 % agree with Josh, very clean.  Brian Zimmerman made me aware of CFI a few years back and it is just awesome the work they do.  I'd like to make it down at some point in the future and tour the facility because I am just fascinated

I also looked through your website Todd, WOW do you have some great visuals. Impressive!

Question, what is the species pictured above?

They are more common than initially thought and TVA spread them into new areas.  That is a great photo, really shows the iridescent green on them.  Saddles are a giveaway marking.  I catch them in my backyard but you gotta be quick with a seine.

Todd did a great job with CFI's site and his own.  Very fine photography.  I meant to ask him if he has walked in Tates Hell... he certainly has images from the region.

Thanks for the compliments everyone, I lost track of my post for a while!

Yes, as mentioned, it's a snail darter in the attached image, photographed in the French Broad River, one of several places that TVA 'cast them about'.

Hey Casper!

Yep, apart from aquatic habitats my favorite ecosystem is the longleaf pine forest. I have walked through Tate's Hell and Apalachicola a lot, one of my favorite spots!

Absolutely, CFI is an awesome facility to visit and they would love to show you around, as long as it's not in the middle of field season!

Cheers All...
