Looks like I missed the convention.

Been an aquarist for awhile now. I snorkel the Illinois river in Tahlequah at least two or three times a season and had no idea there was a group like this.

Anyway, looking for oklahoma people interested in planning a group trip to one of our rivers to enjoy the native fish.

I noticed the last convention was set up by Brandon Brown. Anyone know him or know others in Oklahoma that might be interested in some exploring?

Welcome. I'm glad you found us. Last year's convention in Tahlequah was a lot of fun. You have some very nice streams over there. Brandon would be a great (actually, the best) person to meet up with for some NE OK snorkeling. He's an expert on native fish, good streams in your area, snorkeling, and underwater videography. I think he's generally pretty busy with work, though. I live about 3 hours east of you near Harrison, AR and get over to your area occasionally. Perhaps it will work out to meet up for some snorkeling sometime.

I will PM you with Brandon Brown's contact information. I talked to him just last week, and he said he will be pretty tied up with the Paddlefish season until May, but he is itching to get out to look at some of the little fish.

Can't wait! Looks like I'll be unlikely to get away until a weekend in May myself. But if I said I wasn't daydreaming about it I'd be a liar. I'll be dusting off the wetsuit and snorkel equipment in the meantime.
