I was out today, just checking out a small mission steam, and found something that looked almost like a scorpion, but it had no discernible claws and it had three white fibers coming out as a trail. I know that they're not scorpions, as I live in North East PA and I was finding them under rocks in the rifles. But, if any of you guys could help me fill my curiosity, it would be appreciated.

Or maybe a mayfly nymph. Try "Heptageniid mayfly" and see if that fits.
