Hello all, I have been reading through some back issues of American Currents. In Volume 39, Number 3, there is the mention of a device known as an "Erickson Net." Does anyone have any design specs or tips for this net? I have been using a Perfect Dipnet for years, but the width and heft of the Erickson Net would likely help me in my lone riffle collecting journeys. Thanks in advance for any help!

I dont know what an Erickson net is, but a 4 x 4 ft seine is handy for solo-collecting, both in riffles and pools. I prefer 1/8" mesh. Larger mesh sizes tend to gill-net the fish as they try to push through it.
