I caught this Bullhead in about 4-5' of water in our marina in Presque Isle Bay on Lake Erie. It was caught slowly pulling 1/6 of a nightcrawler along the bottom on top of debris and after a 3 minute fight up and back down, I measured the fish to be 14.5-15.0" and 2.25-2.50 pounds, which is my new personal best for any species of Bullheads. I know it's not a Yellow because it doesn't have white mandibular barbels, but I'm not sure whether it's a Brown or Black Bullhead, both of which are present with Browns being more abundant in the area. I'm leaning towards a Brown, but what do you all think, Brown or Black?

I think it's a black, browns have a flatter tail and more than 21 anal rays, black have 15-21.
