Your tank looks as clean as ever, too.

Feisty fish, ain't they? Really cool looking and acting animals. Remind me a lot of a beefy Cyprinella.Your tank looks as clean as ever, too.
Yes they are. I would like to eventually have 6-8 in there. Thanks for the compliment. My fuval 110 does a excellent job. Can't wait for my srbd to color up!

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Those are 2 of the nicest Scarlet's I've seen in the aquarium. I love how the Orangefin is just sitting back in that log watching on. The tank looks really really nice. Some darker sand may help the SRBD color up. I'd just add some local creek sand in. I've been slowly doing that to my 125.

Thanks Josh! I agree that the darker substrate helps with color and I have also been adding extra hand fulls of rock on occasion. I have had decent luck keeping them over white sand in the past. It seem to me that they like the light on for most of the day and several feedings a day.
Im thinking I might add a small root system to the back right corner of the tank. It was home to a large stump that I finally got tired of.
I hope the Scarlet Shiners stay nice and bright.
Here are a couple pictures from this morning. The fish have been in this tank for almost 4 days and for a few this is there first time in a aquarium.
I almost forgot to mention I picked up 4 top fin minnows this weekend. When are you going to come down so we can get you a couple?
