positions, one immediately, the other in time to replace Meredith, our
hatchery technician, before she leaves CFI for graduate school August 1.
Both will be primarily hatchery/husbandry positions, with secondary priority
given to field work. Experience in fish husbandry, particularly small fish
in closed systems, will be critically important in evaluating applicants.
Knowledge of native fish biology and reproduction, as well as computer
skills, would be a plus. Ability and willingness to work short periods on
weekends (feeding) will be required. A trial evaluation period of one month
will be mandatory. This is an entry-level position with some chance of
advancement. This is a great opportunity to gain experience working with
imperiled fishes and alternative monitoring techniques (primarily
snorkel-survey).
Inquiries should be addressed to Patrick Rakes (Xenisma@aol.com) or J. R.
Shute (Noturus@aol.com) or at the address and phone below.
Thanks for your interest!
