Looks like the upper Mad R. I'd like to know what those plants are too. I think the video shows two different species. Are you in Ohio, Mr Catfish?

You would be correct about Mad R. and they are two different species. I have been trying to find out what they are for awhile now. I live in Putnam county but visit the Mad a few times a year.

Can you get some better photos? STILL shots laid in a tray of water or photo tank, showing leaf shapes, leaf arrangement on stem, any signs of flowers, buds, fruits.

I won't be able to do that until spring. As I do not plan on heading back until then( hour and a half away). I have never seen either one grow emerged if that helps. One of the plants is in the center right in the attached photo if that helps. Has long-narrow decussate leaves.
