apparently we can now catch and keep up to 5 small largemouth bass, downside , can only keep 1 over16 inches

It is my understanding that in FL largemouth bass (like sunfish/panfish) must be caught on a pole & line/rod & reel in order to keep the fish (even the small ones). Is this a correct interpretation?  Additionally, do the directions of "...can only keep one over 16 inches" apply only at acquisition or does it apply at any point in a captive setting?  Thanks.

yes i think you have to still use a pole, but you can keep it, my local bait store has one in an aquarium, i was concerned about her getting ticketed , but an fwc ranger gave her a copy of the new reg. and said her aquarium was okay

Interesting.  How big is the fish?  How big is the aquarium?  Any tank mates?

maybe about 6inches, with some bluegills, topminnows ,and a pleco
