I am new to the forum and am looking for baby channel cats, either natural colour or albino. I am willing to do the paperwork if I can find someone who has a source.

Thanks,
Laura :)

Hi Laura,  there are a lot of wholesalers that have easy access to albino channel cats--which are quite common in the states.  However, you'd have to find one that exports.  I'll do a little searching for you and let you know if I find any.

Thanks a lot!!

I have dealt with wholesalers many times over the years, but they tell me legislation has changed and it is now not possible for Channel Cats to cross certain state lines. I am working with an APHIS agent that is trying to help me figure out if not being able to cross state lines means they cannot export to Canada? It could just be a misinterpretation of the regulations. I can get import permits for them from our government so if I can get a fishery that will sell them to me I am good to go!!

      Any help would be appreciated!!

      Laura :)

Laura, take a look here.  I believe they produce albino channels.  I have no idea about international shipping.  I'll keep looking though.

I guess if you do the paperwork,I could get them locally in Ohio, and since I have an aquaculture permit, could legally ship them. Check with Mark Binkley from Jonah's Aquarium first though, as he could do the same.
