As far as I understand Tyler is a member, friends with Bob Hrabik, but more active on Facebook than here. He was bitten by a copperhead yesterday. Is in the hospital now. Let's all keep him in our thoughts or prayers for a speedy recovery. It can happen even near water, the highest number of copperheads I have seen was in Dupont state forest in NC. Right along a stream bank among rocks. Trust me I know my snakes. Not Nerodia. There were lots of skinks, fence lizards and frogs for lunch. Not that this was the case(I don't know how it happened), but with a quick glance, just don't assume that it is Nerodia because of the close proximity to a stream. Be safe.

Yikes! Will indeed keep a fellow fish nerd in thoughts and prayers. Hope he recovers quickly. Please do heed Matt D's words to be safe!

Know your snakes!  Of course the greater danger around water is Cottonmouths.  http://www.jonahsaqu...ak/IMGA1167.htm
