It looks like an oddball seagreen to my eye. Is the sucker maybe one of your jumprocks?

After I did a dorsal ray count, it does appear to be a Brassy Jumprock, I counted 10 scales and maybe missed one or two.

I dont think your darters look unusual... they actually look like they think it is spring. Now temper this with the fact that I am used to seeing turquoise, so similar but not exactly the same thing.  But is seems to me that the first one is a male coloring up and the second one is his chubby girlfriend. What do you see that looks different yo you?

And I call everything that small a jumprock... obviously it could be a juvenile of a different redhorse... but unless you start counting scales or rays or both, I'm not going to know for sure.

I agree with Michael, I think that looks like a normal seagreen for that area (granted, I'm no expert). Attached is a pic of one Fritz and I caught last spring, very near where you caught yours. The only difference that really stands out to me is the band of color on the distal end of the caudal fin of your fish.

I must have just had a blonde moment, I was thinking another species I haven't caught might have overlapped in my range. On top of that I have only caught female Seagreens beforehand. Thanks for the help fellas.
